Atropos – “The journey of fools” project
THE JOURNEY OF FOOLS
By Atropos and Stamatis Efstathiou
“The journey of fools” project, inspired from the painting “The boat of fools” of Hieronymus Bosch, is the new international project of Atropos. Aiming to create a performance with a selected group of individual international artists, Stamatis begins a series of short-term intensive workshops in different parts of the world.
5-day workshops will be led under the artistic direction of Stamatis, in countries such as Chile, Argentina, the USA and Poland. The artistic process is basically physical, connecting energy-body-sound-text and song; this is Atropos’ method of work called “Theatre of connection”. At the end of the workshop period, 6-10 workshop participants will be selected to work for 3-4 weeks with Stamatis in a small Polish village (August 2011); the result of this process will be presented on place, with a possibility of a short period of touring.
The project begins this month, with a 5-day workshop in Poland.
